Biography:
Gihane Endrawes is a Lecturer at the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Western Sydney University. She has experience as a coordinator for both under-graduate and post-graduate studies, and research supervision of higher degree research students (PhD, MHons, BHons). She worked as a Transcultural Mental Health Clinical Nurse Consultant during which, she was the Coordinator of a number of projects with sustainable outcomes, involved in the development and review of policies and gained 2 Nurse Achievement Awards for her contribution to mental health services. Gihane’s research interests include: carers’ issues, nursing education, quality of life, aggression and de-escalation in mental health, women’s mental health, health promotion and culture, which are reflected in her publications. She gained a number of research grants, presented at national and international conferences. She published in international journals and her work is cited by internationally renowned researchers. She is also a peer reviewer for internationals journals
