Presentation Guidelines

Please review the following instructions before participating in Nursing 2027. Final presentation schedules, submission deadlines and technical information will be communicated to registered presenters before the conference.

In-Person Oral Presentations

  • Report to the assigned conference room at least 1 hour before your session.
  • Confirm your presence with the session coordinator.
  • Oral presentations are generally allocated 20–25 minutes, including questions and discussion.
  • Prepare approximately 17–19 minutes of speaking content to allow time for questions and speaker transition.
  • Presentations must be prepared in English.
  • Submit slides in PowerPoint or PDF format by the communicated deadline.
  • Carry a backup copy of your presentation on a USB drive.
  • Use clear fonts, simple layouts and high-quality images.
  • Stay within the allotted presentation time and follow the session chair’s instructions.

The conference laptop is recommended. Presenters requiring personal laptops, videos, special software or additional technical arrangements should inform the Conference Secretariat in advance.

In-Person Poster Presentations

  • Follow the poster dimensions communicated by the Conference Secretariat.
  • Do not print the poster until the permitted dimensions have been confirmed.
  • Display the poster only in the assigned location.
  • Complete poster setup before the assigned session.
  • Remain near the poster during the scheduled presentation period to explain the work and answer questions.
  • Remove the poster at the end of the assigned session.

Posters should be clear, concise and readable. They should generally include the title, authors, affiliations, introduction, objectives, methods, results, conclusion and references.

On-site poster printing is not provided.

Virtual Oral Presentations

Virtual presenters should use:

  • A laptop or desktop computer
  • A stable internet connection
  • A functioning microphone and webcam
  • Headphones or earphones, where possible
  • The latest supported version of the conference platform: Zoom

Presenters should:

  • Join the virtual session at least 30 minutes before the scheduled presentation.
  • Display their full registered name.
  • Keep the presentation open and ready.
  • Test the microphone, camera and screen-sharing function in advance.
  • Keep the microphone muted until invited to speak.
  • Present from a quiet, well-lit and professional environment.
  • Follow the instructions of the session chair and technical coordinator.

Virtual access details are confidential and must not be shared with others.

Virtual Poster Presentations

Virtual poster presenters may be asked to present by sharing a digital poster or a short slide presentation.

The presentation is generally allocated 10–15 minutes, including questions. The exact format, duration and file requirements will be communicated before the conference.

Digital posters should be easy to read on a computer screen and should avoid excessive text.

Recorded Presentations

Recorded presentations may be accepted only in exceptional circumstances and with prior written approval from the Conference Secretariat.

Submission of a recording does not automatically guarantee inclusion in the scientific program.

Approved recordings must:

  • Remain within the allotted presentation time
  • Have clear audio and video quality
  • Display the presentation slides properly
  • Be submitted in the requested format
  • Be received by the communicated deadline

Where possible, the presenter should remain available online during the scheduled session to answer questions.

Presentation Content and Ethics

Presenters are responsible for the accuracy, originality and integrity of their content.

Presentations must:

  • Protect patient and participant confidentiality
  • Avoid identifiable patient information without authorization
  • Credit externally sourced data, images and materials
  • Disclose relevant conflicts of interest or sponsorships
  • Avoid excessive commercial or promotional content
  • Comply with applicable ethical and institutional requirements

Presenters remain responsible for content created or revised using artificial intelligence tools. Confidential patient, institutional or unpublished information should not be entered into public AI systems without authorization.

Session Chairs and Moderators

Session chairs should arrive or join online at least 30 minutes before the session.

Their responsibilities include:

  • Confirming presenter attendance
  • Introducing speakers
  • Keeping presentations within the allotted time
  • Moderating questions and discussion
