Biography:
Heather Patel, NP graduated with her undergraduate degree in Nursing from Salve Regina University in Newport, RI in 1999. She worked as a staff nurse in a variety of different hospitals before going on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing degree at Boston College in 2010. She has been working in outpatient Palliative Care at Massachusetts General Hospital since 2014 and is currently the NP Lead of the outpatient clinic. Also, published a book chapter in Palliative Care in Hematologic Malignancies and Serious Blood Disorders; A Clinical Guide in 2023 which focuses on the utilization of ambulatory palliative care services for patients with hematologic malignancies.
