Biography:
Irene Doyle is an Academic Lecturer in the Bachelor of Nursing programme at Unitec -Manaukau Institute of technology School of health and social practice. She specialises in Hauora Maori health papers and serves as a Maori Success Champion, advocating for equitable and culturally grounded nursing education. Irene has extensive clinical experience in Kaupapa Māori health services, working closely with iwi-based providers to support improved outcomes for tamariki and whanau. In her current role, Irene supports Tamariki Ora / Well Child services through clinical leadership and educational guidance. She also holds community nurse prescribing rights in Aotearoa New Zealand. Irene has contributed to research on Rapid Antigen Detection Testing for Group A Streptococcus (GAS) in children and has presented her work internationally, including at the 4th Edition of the Singapore Nursing Research Conference and at the 5th Nursing Research Conference, where she delivered a poster presentation titled Exploring Service Delivery Gaps in Childhood Otitis Media (Glue Ear).
