The surgical and medical therapy of head and neck problems is the focus of the surgical subspecialty of medicine known as otorhinolaryngology. The terms "otorhinolaryngologists," "otolaryngologists," "head and neck surgeons," or "ENT surgeons" or "doctors" are used to describe medical professionals who specialise in this field. Diseases affecting the ear, nose, throat, base of the skull, head, and neck are treated by otorhinolaryngologists. Functional illnesses that impact hearing, speaking, breathing, swallowing, eating, and other senses and bodily functions are a typical example of these. Moreover, ENT surgery includes plastic surgery for the face and neck as well as the surgical treatment of malignancies and benign tumours. It also includes rebuilding of the head and neck.
