Additionally, urology nurses need to be knowledgeable about the numerous urological illnesses, treatments, and procedures. They could also take part in urology-related studies and clinical trials. After earning a general medical degree, doctors who specialise in the discipline are known as wards and orthopaedists. Many urologists decide to pursue extra advanced training in a speciality area of specialisation during a fellowship spanning an additional 12 to 36 months after successfully completing a residency programme. Urologic surgery, urologic oncology, and urologic oncological surgery, as well as endourology and endourologic surgery, are examples of subspecialties.
