Urology Nursing
Care for patients with urological issues is a specialty of urology nurses. In addition to supporting patients and their families, their responsibilities also include performing diagnostic procedures, aiding with treatments and operations, and educating patients. Additionally, urology nurses need to be knowledgeable about the numerous urological illnesses, treatments, and procedures. They could also take part in urology-related studies and clinical trials. After earning a general medical degree, doctors who specialise in the discipline are known as wards and orthopaedists. Many urologists decide to pursue extra advanced training in a speciality area of specialisation during a fellowship spanning an additional 12 to 36 months after successfully completing a residency programme. Urologic surgery, urologic oncology, and urologic oncological surgery, as well as endourology and endourologic surgery, are examples of subspecialties.
