About Eri Nagatomo

Eri Nagatomo is an assistant professor at Kyushu University with expertise in pediatric nursing. She received her bachelor’s degree in 2015 and master’s degree in 2020, both from Yamaguchi University. Before pursuing her academic career, she worked as a pediatric nurse at a university hospital for five years. Her research focuses on nursing care for children undergoing painful and distressing medical procedures, particularly vaccinations, with an emphasis on nurses’ clinical judgments and strategies to reduce children’s pain, fear, and distress.
