Transcultural nursing refers to how the field of professional nursing engages with the idea of culture. It is supported by nursing theory, research, and practise and has an anthropological and nursing foundation. Global cultures and comparative cultural phenomena related to care, health, and nursing are the emphasis of this particular cognitive specialisation in nursing. It was first recognised as a field of study and application in 1955. It is a set of knowledge that aids in delivering nursing care that is suitable for all cultures. Transcultural nurses are registered nurses who work in the field of transcultural nursing. Transcultural nurses, in general, are nurses who take on roles such as specialists, generalists, and consultants in order to explore the interactions of culturally constituted care from a nursing perspective. They are nurses who deliver in-depth, skillful, and secure care.
