Dental Nursing

Dental nursing refers to the assistants who support dentists during operations and dental exams. As a dental assistant, your tasks can involve changing the lighting, giving patients' gums numbing anaesthetic, and using a suction hose to remove saliva. Additionally, you might advise them on general oral hygiene or provide them with post-surgery recommendations. You could occasionally carry out routine office tasks including scheduling appointments, accepting payments, and answering the phone. Other tasks can include keeping track of patients' medical history, ensuring their comfort while in the dentist's chair, setting up and cleaning the exam or operation rooms, stocking supplies, and sanitising equipment.
