The treatment of patients with known or suspected medical conditions affecting their digestive systems and gastrointestinal tracts is provided by gastroenterology nurses, also referred to as endoscopy nurses. The assessment, preparation, and execution of both endoscopic and upper gastrointestinal operations are all crucially dependent on these nurses. Additionally, they use computed tomography scans and x-ray equipment to diagnose and track patients. They also make a strong effort to inform patients and their loved ones about their illness and any necessary therapies. Common conditions that gastroenterology nurses treat include Crohn's disease, Celiac disease, ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), acid reflux, and other conditions.
