Care for patients with respiratory illnesses and disorders is the main objective of the practise speciality known as pulmonary and respiratory nursing. Asthma, COPD, cystic fibrosis, lung cancer, TB, and sleep apnea are just a few examples of these illnesses. In addition to performing and interpreting pulmonary function tests, teaching patients about healthy lifestyle choices, and offering emotional support, pulmonary and respiratory nurses offer complete care to their patients. They collaborate with other medical experts to develop specialised treatment strategies.
