The care of patients who have had vascular or surgical treatments is the focus of the profession of vascular and surgical nursing. Patients having vascular or surgical treatments are given preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care by vascular nurses. Prior to the surgery, they must evaluate the patient's health, offer the necessary care and supervision throughout the procedure, and then provide post-operative treatment and follow-up. Vascular and surgical nurses need to be knowledgeable and skilled in order to identify possible issues and carry out the necessary procedures. They collaborate closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other medical professionals to give patients the best treatment possible.
